SWGT friends is one of my favorite features of the platform. Being able to share, compare and compete is a fantastic function. Below are some common questions I have received regarding the friends feature set:
How do I add a friend?
Unlike Facebook, SWGT handles adding friends by invite codes. Simply go into the setup menu and go to friends. Then click invite code, pick the player on your account you want to share and the permissions the friend will have for that player. Then click generate code and send the code to your friend via your favorite chat system (discord, line, etc.)
Who can be friends in SWGT?
A SWGT personal or personal+ subscriber can be friends with another SWGT personal or personal+ subscriber or even a FREE account user.
What is Tournament Mode?
When you are battling a friend in guild content, you may want to hide your info. Simply go into the setup menu and go to friends. Then click the tournament mode button and confirm. When you are in tournament mode, all data sharing is disabled with your friends (you are blocking them from your data one way).
Can I have friends on my guild site?
No. SWGT Guild and SWGT Guild+ is designed with your guild and privacy in mind. The public doesnt even have access to guild sites and all data is silod from another for data privacy. Plus, if you ever left the guild you would lose access to all of your data anyway. That is why SWGT personal exists so you can take your data with you wherever you are.
Can I have the same account on public and guild?
Yes of course. If its easier for you to have the same username and password for your guild site and the public site, that is 100% allowed so long as the username and email address isnt already used.
How do I keep my SWGT personal and SWGT guild both in sync with data?
Good news is there are two different plugins, one for each offering. So its never been easier! Just follow the setup guides.
What if I have questions?
Join the SWGT discord and feel free to contact me directly. I am always glad to help!
